January is the coldest month of the year, with temperatures averaging between 7ā and 15ā. Meanwhile, July and August are the hottest months, as temperatures frequently average 30ā or above.
The best time to visit on our Greece trips comes down to preference. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are generally the best times of year to visit Athens, as the balmy conditions make it ideal for sightseeing.
Meanwhile, the summer months (June to August) are fantastic for exploring the Greek islands, as you can soak up the sunshine and enjoy the ocean breeze. If you’re looking to travel on a budget, winter (December to February) is a favourable time to visit.

Learning a few Greek phrases can go a long way, although some English is spoken in Greece’s most popular destinations. This is a very warm and welcoming country, and your group leader can provide guidance on cultural customs during our Greece trips.
