Central Asia’s climates are hugely diverse, although they can be characterised by their hot summers and snowy winters. You can find epic contrasts in nature here, from high mountainous terrain to deserts.
Temperatures vary greatly depending on altitude. July is generally the hottest month, with parts of certain countries reaching 40℃. Meanwhile, January and February are the coldest months and can be popular for winter sports.
The best time to visit on our Central Asia tours comes down to preference. Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) typically enjoy the best weather for city sightseeing.
Meanwhile, the summer months of July to August are perfect for exploring Central Asia’s mountainous regions. Although the cities are hot during the summer, nightlife can be especially fun.
The cultures you’ll get to experience when travelling through Central Asia are the biggest highlight. Each country has its unique cultural customs, from nomadic roots in Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan’s ancient Silk Road history.
